Crescent Island Tour Guides:
We do have a few Guides on the Island, on a first come first serve basis. We do not charge for using Guides however, we do ask that you give them a tip.
Entry Fee Payments
Payment for the Crescent Island Walk is to made on arrival at the Island. Please DON'T pay the boat operators for Crescent Island. The official Crescent Island receipt with our logo will be issued for any payment made to us and we ask visitors to insist they be given our receipt to avoid deception. Any boat operator selling an excursion including Crescent Island is doing so under false pretences.
Boat Tours & Transfers:
Crescent Island does not operate any boats.
Please be aware of the boat safaris and/or Lodges operating under the names: “Crescent Island Boat Safaris”, "Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp" and "Crescent View Safaris" are separate companies and have nothing to do with Crescent Island.
When you hire a boat, please ask to be taken to Crescent Island, make sure you see our “Crescent Island” signboard, with our logo, at the landing and you are greeted by one of our guides wearing an identity badge.

Accommodation:
Crescent Island now has accommodation.
For day trips the Island is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Please ensure that you are on your boat by 5.30pm latest - Hippos are not fun to meet on foot!
